Sunday School at Gloria Dei
During the Sunday School hour at 9:30am, children ages 3 through grade 12 meet for Sunday School.
Every Sunday children spend time learning about God's Word and how God's Word applies to their lives. Using the "Growing in Christ" Sunday School Curriculum, children hear the Good News of Salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our "Growing in Christ" Sunday School is bursting with energy, excitement, and true Bible learning! Children hear the Good News of Jesus the Christ's life, death and resurrection in every lesson and are exposed to a substantial scope of Bible accounts from the earliest ages!
The "Growing in Christ" scope and sequence is designed with three guiding principles:
1. To teach the scriptures as they reveal God's plan of Salvation
2. To link Sunday School to the worship life of the Church
3. To unite famillies in the study of God's Word
A major priority is to present God's plan of Salvation as it is revealed in the lives of God's people throughout the Scriptures using as many Bible accounts as possible. Equally important is the desire to match the lessons to the Gospel readings in the three year lectionary.
As children grow up in the "Growing in Christ" Sunday School they will come to recognize the Bible accounts. All students will discover the depth and riches of God's Word in each lesson.
